What's been going on at Calor

With rising energy costs and climate change being high on the agenda, this issue provides you with the latest industy and product information you need to help your customers.
We should all be thinking about the impact we have on global warming – and you will have no doubt noticed that your customers are asking you more questions about energy efficiency, and maybe even renewable technologies.
At Calor, we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously, and we want rural property owners to have a strong voice in the energy efficiency debate – and the opportunity to reduce their carbon emissions and fuel costs.
We have been working with leading heating equipment manufacturers to ensure that there are LPG compatible renewable and low-carbon options available for rural homes and businesses – you can read more in this issue of Well Connected.
The good news is that, not only is LPG highly compatible with new technologies like solar thermal water heating, but out of all the fossil fuels available in rural areas, LPG has the lowest carbon emissions. In fact it emits 19 per cent less CO2 per kWh than heating oil4.
So, where reducing carbon emissions is concerned, rural homes that are fuelled with LPG are off to a good start.
