Catering Supplier Receives Calor Business Award

The UK’s largest independent wholesaler of catering equipment has received Calor’s ‘Business of the Month’ award in recognition of its work with companies in non mains gas areas.

Axon Enterprises, which is based in Hereford, has built a reputation throughout the industry for supplying high quality catering equipment to commercial businesses through 600 active distributors, repairers and installers within the UK and Ireland.

Calor, the UK’s leading supplier of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), has created the ‘Business of the Month’ award scheme to acknowledge businesses which offer cost-effective and reliable solutions to businesses in non mains gas areas.

Paul Emberton, managing director of Axon Enterprises said: “We are delighted to receive this award. We have been in business since 1983 and during that time we have continually worked with Calor to provide reliable and efficient solutions to businesses in non mains gas areas.”

Axon has recently worked with Calor on the installation of a new cooking range at Hinksey Heights golf club in Oxfordshire - powered by Calor LPG. Following the initial introduction from Calor, Axon liaised with catering supplier’s Factory First.com Ltd and Falcon Catering Equipment to provide a fully integrated catering package – that was installed in around six weeks.

Calor works with a range of suppliers, manufacturers and installers across a range of markets and the new award scheme is just one initiative where Calor can recognise those businesses that it works with as Sabrina Jackson, commercial market manager for Calor explained:

“We feel it is important to recognise the businesses we work with. By combining our expertise and knowledge, we can provide cooking, heating and water heating solutions to the catering and hospitality market.

“Axon has worked with Calor for many years and we are really pleased to present our first award to Paul and his team.”
