Calor Proves To Be ‘Game’

Rural fuel specialist Calor, the UK’s leading supplier of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), will be the power behind the CLA Game Fair when it takes place later this month.

Calor LPG will be used throughout the show in areas requiring heat, lighting or fuel for cooking including mobile catering units and shower blocks. Southampton’s Calor Centre will also be offering free delivery of cylinders to visitors staying at the Fair’s campsite. Campers should register their interest at Calor’s stand (E675).

On the stand, Calor will be demonstrating the benefits and wide range of LPG applications. Calor has an acknowledged presence in the British countryside, supporting many rural homes and businesses, from all terrain vehicles, weedburners, crop dryers and game and poultry brooder heaters to barbecues and patio heaters.

In addition, the hugely popular laser clay pigeon shooting game will be featured on the Calor stand. Following its popularity at last year’s Game Fair, visitors will again have the chance to demonstrate their target skills. A bottle of champagne will be awarded to the person with the highest score at the end of each day.

Visitors to the show will also be able to see for themselves how Calor can be used for effective barbecuing. British BBQ Team Captain Colin Capon will be preparing prime English lamb and beef in the Food Demonstration Theatre and renowned River Cottage chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall will demonstrate how to cook up the catch of the day in the House of Fishing area. Both chefs will be using Calor LPG fuelled Royal 4 Roaster Plus barbecues for their culinary creations.

Calor has 70 years experience providing LPG for domestic and business use and understands the needs its customers. Not only has the company built strong relationships with rural businesses in non-mains gas areas, but it remains the complete all-round solution for applications such as powering ATVs, golf buggies, crop dryers and weed burners; heating glasshouses, poly tunnels and poultry and game rearing sheds; and in catering, heating and water heating applications.

Charles Ramseyer of Southampton Calor Centre commented: “Calor is proud to be able to support the CLA Game Fair. Visitors to the show will see how LPG is used for a wide variety of applications and how Calor can support their business or alfresco needs.”

Sabrina Jackson, Calor’s commercial market manager added: “Thousands of British businesses are powered by Calor, some of which will be exhibiting at the Game Fair themselves and many homes use LPG for heating and cooking. The use of gas barbecues is also increasing so visitors can look forward to seeing two top chefs offer their hints and tips for effective barbecuing.”

Any exhibitors wanting to use Calor LPG throughout the show should contact the Southampton Calor Centre on 023 8078 8155.
